Today is the twenty-second day of the April A to Z Challenge. I will be writing about different frog species based on their latin species names! See the introduction here.
Ranitomeya Vanzolinii
These stunning frogs are found in Brazil & Peru.

These are adorable. I have already decided that these will be the next frogs that I add to my collection and hope to add some later this year.

R. Vanzolinii are typically found between 6ft – 20ft high within the lowland Amazonian rainforest. Typically any vanzolinii frogs that are found scurrying within the leaf litter will be juveniles.

I would love to someday be as lucky as this dendroboard user who posted this photo of all these adorable babies.

Luckily, the vanzos are listed as least concern by the IUCN red list. There are a number of protected areas within its range so it has a good chance of hiding out in those areas.
