Java Moss
Lots of people use moss on their tank floors or on drift wood like seen in Dendroboard user ZooKeeperDougs tank.

However, moss can also be used as the tank background as well.
Obviously the photo above is in an aquarium, but the same technique applies to terrariums as well. It sounds pretty easy to get set-up as well! All you need to do is take some moss & sandwich it between 2 pieces of window screen and sew around the outside and a couple strips in the middle to keep the moss in place. Make sure to add a suction cup or some way to attach it to the glass! Once set-up make sure to mist it frequently and give it some good light until you can see it take off. Below is what it looks like from behind.

Have you ever created a moss sandwich? How did it turn out?

I love the look and feel of moss. It’s so … green! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Isn’t that moss awesome? I am looking at ways that I can add some to my tanks!
As the mom of a teen son I find this blog s treasure. Loved the moss, love your frogs, we have turtles but are fond of all amphibians and reptiles.

Thanks for stopping by! I like turtles as well, but am biased to frogs 🙂
