Here are the frogs and toads native to Kentucky. Pay special attention to the barking treefrog which lives in a treeless area that has no permanent standing water. Another frog’s call is referred to by the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, as the sound of the drunk tank in the county jail on a Saturday night.
