Each morph represents a unique sub-population in the wild and therefore shall not be mixed.
Banded
The banded morph of Dendrobates leucomelas is originally from British Guyana. They are larger than the standard morph (2″) and are banded in color in lieu of the standard morphs spotting. They are tricky to breed in the hobby and they are quickly becoming more uncommon within the hobby.

Fine-spot
The fine-spot morph of Dendrobates leucomelas is slightly smaller than the standard morph (1.25″). The coloring is black banding broken up by fine spots on orange skin. It is somewhat uncommon in the hobby, but they may be more difficult to breed than the standard morph.

Blue-foot
The blue-footed morph of Dendrobates leucomelas is originally from Europe. The coloring is a yellow-green hue with blue feet and more black than the standard morph. They breed relatively less frequently and with smaller clutch sizes than the other morphs.

Standard
The standard morph of Dendrobates leucomelas is originally from Venezuela and includes the orange, yellow, green-foot and chocolate morphs as well. Within the morph, certain traits have been line bred so it is a more common occurrence.
