The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation.
In honor of Giving Tuesday, today’s post will have a bunch of charities that are promoting conservation. Let me know if you know of any that I missed!

100% of funds donated to Amphibian Ark will be spent on ensuring a long-term future for threatened amphibians, and donations to the Amphibian Ark are tax-deductible for most US tax-payers.

The Amphibian Survival Alliance is the world’s largest partnership for amphibian conservation. By focusing on amphibians and the sites and habitats upon which they depend, we are working with our Partners to improve the quality of life for amphibians, for other wildlife and for people around the world.

Forests provide the air we breathe, they filter the water we drink, they reduce carbon pollution and they support the livelihoods of millions of people. But every year, the planet loses an area of forest the size of Costa Rica.
That’s where you come in. When you protect an acre of forest for $15, you’ll help create a healthier, more prosperous, more productive planet, for you and for everyone.

Our Mission: conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends
The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.

Tesoros De Columbia
Tesoros de Colombia Sustainable Farm is a private company created by conservationists aimed to conserve native and endemic Colombian species through sustainable biocommerce, research and habitat protection.

TWI supports the protection, conservation, and restoration of wild amphibian populations through hands-on action, as well as fosters personal relationships between people and nature by providing opportunities for citizens of all ages to become directly involved in global amphibian conservation.
